Last February, there began a pull. There were overarching concerns with individuals close to me at the time, those that had also struggled with this beast, as had I. It felt right to open up to this individual about my struggles, realities I hadn’t shared with a soul up until then. As we would share what it was like to live with this beast, that safe space felt more valuable than anything else I had felt.
